Call to Worship (Psalm 1:1-3)

Leader: Blessed are those who walk not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.

People: Our delight is in the law of the Lord, and on it we meditate day and night.

Leader: Plant us like trees beside streams of water, O Lord.

All: May we yield fruit in our season.

Hymn -   “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty” #53, vv. 1-3, 5

Invocation & Lord's Prayer

Our Father, Who Art in Heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. AMEN

Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession

Almighty God, you have gifted us with so much. You have given your Son as an atonement for our sins. You have given us your Holy Spirit so that we might walk in newness of life. However, we often neglect these gifts and follow our own desires. Help us to shed what we want and to seek what you want. Grant us the power to walk according to your will. Hear us now, as we confess our sins to you...(silent confession)

Assurance of Pardon
